Our Founder

At The Ember Collective, we believe HR should feel human again — not rigid, reactive, or buried in red tape. Our founder, Mitchell Jeffery, M.A., CDP, built The Ember Collective to help healthcare and behavioral health organizations rethink what’s possible when compliance meets culture.

With over a decade of HR leadership experience across multi-state healthcare systems, Mitchell has built a reputation for delivering real results. He’s led eight successful mergers and acquisitions, launched more than 10 ADP HRIS implementations, and built compliance dashboards that achieved zero findings on Joint Commission, CARF, and state surveys. His work has driven measurable outcomes — turnover down 10%, 800 new employees onboarded, and vacancy rates cut in half through smarter, people-first strategy.

Mitchell is a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP) and holds a Master of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Gender and Sexuality from Wayne State University — a foundation that fuels his commitment to equity, inclusion, and understanding the human side of leadership.
